Barcelona Return To Training In Intense Cold
Barca have returned to training, but do so as a cold front sweeps over Catalunya...
By Cyrus C. Malek
Barcelona had 17 players fit and ready on the training pitch today in a session which was marked by intense cold and snow.
As reported by Sport, despite the elements, some members of the Barca squad - Xavi, Toure, Milito, Ibrahimovic and Chygrynskiy - trained in shorts, whilst the rest of the squad were considerably more conservative in their dress.
With the exception of Keita and Abidal, who continue to suffer from injuries, and Messi and Alves, who went training in the gym after starting on Saturday, the rest of the team was at the direction of coach Pep Guardiola. Of those who trained, only Puyol did so at a lighter pace.
Coming off the back of a disappointing draw against Almeria at the weekend that saw Real Madrid claim the Liga lead, Barcelona prepare to take on Valencia this weekend.
