Barcelona will appeal the expulsions of coach Pep Guardiola and striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who were both sent off during the Blaugrana's 2-2 draw at Almeria, according to Sport.

Guardiola was sent off for protesting the referee's refusal to whistle for a penalty and is alleged to have "yelled centimetres away from the face of the assistant referee."

Ibrahimovic was also shown red for what was perceived to be a "kick to an opposing player". However, replays show that the contact seems to have been incidental.

Barcelona host Valencia at the Camp Nou in their next Liga fixture and the presence of both Ibrahimovic and Guardiola could significantly increase the Blaugrana's chances of success against los Che.
