Spain's Andres Iniesta: Every Goal I Score Will Be Compared To World Cup Winner
Andres Iniesta is concerned that the rest of his career will be compared to the goal that won the World Cup for Spain.

Andres Iniesta has claimed that he is concerned that every goal he scores between now and the end of his career will inevitably be compared to his winning goal against the Netherlands in the World Cup final.
The Barcelona midfielder’s 117th minute effort etched his name in Spanish folklore and created a moment for which we will always be remembered.
However, Iniesta is concerned that other goalscoring exploits will pale into insignificance in comparison to that strike in Soccer City.
In an interview with El Pais, he said: “What bothers me is that I have scored a lot of goals, and now all goals will be valued against it [the goal versus the Netherlands].
“The goal versus [Racing] Santander last weekend is one of the most difficult I have ever scored, but no one wants to tell me anything about this goal.”
Iniesta added however that the desire to win remains just as strong as ever, despite all of the accolades he has accumulated in recent years.
He stated: “When you start the season, you start from scratch with challenges to achieve. The past is useless. I do not go out thinking I am a World champion, because I prefer to be relaxed.”
