Barcelona Defender Gerard Pique: I Still Have A Lot To Prove
Pique is hungry for more titles despite winning virtually everything at the age of 23...
By Subhankar Mondal
The 23-year-old joined the Blaugrana from Manchester United in 2008 after winning the Premier League and the Champions League titles with the English giants.
Pique then won the treble with Barcelona in the 2008-09 season and was a key member of Spain's World Cup-winning team in South Africa in the summer of 2010.
Despite winning almost everything at such a young age, Pique remains humble and has been quoted by Catalan sports daily Sport as saying, "I enjoy what I do and I'm in a great team surrounded by the best players in the world in a place that we call home.
"However, there are still many things left to do in football. For example, I have never competed and won a European Championship with Spain."
