By Ben Somerford
The Ireland-born Libya international came off the bench with his side trailing 2-0 and soon to be reduced to 10 men before his dramatic heroics in the final 10 minutes of the derby.
Zayed scored on 81, 84 and 92 minutes to secure a memorable victory for Piroozi who have had a difficult 2011-12 campaign.
Persepolis have now announced they will be auctioning off his signed shirt and shoes from the game. The auction will run from February 9 to 14.
Zayed's heroics also earned him Goal.com's World Player of the Week.
After winning the award, Zayed told Goal.com: "It's obviously a great honour to be selected as the first-ever player from the Iranian League.
"When you consider some of the big names that have played here, take Ali Karimi as an example, it makes the selection all the more pleasing so thank you to all at Goal.com for picking me."
