By Avineshwaran Taharumalengam
One of the four clubs taking part in the Super League, Felda United has scaled great heights since joining the M-League in 2007.

Bankrolled by FELDA, the team has improved considerably every season, with last season being their most impressive one, despite finishing 11th in the table.
Led by charismatic coach, E.Elavarasan, the team has gone through changes this season as he has brought in new blood to chart the fortunes of the team. The likes of Liew Kit Kong and Badrul Radzi have all left and Elavarasan appears to be trusting youth powerness for 2012.
Khairan Ezuan Rosli, Yong Kuong Yong, Mohd Nazri Ahmad, S.Sivanesan and Mohd Nizad Ayub have all been signed to boost Felda's depth and will indeed be the toast of the team. Yuan Kuong Yong in particular, was a revelation for Kuala Lumpur in the Super League last year.
Besides that, they have also snapped up Argentinean defender Matias Favano, who has the much-need experience of having played in numerous leagues throughout his career. The ex-Universitario de Sucre man is likely to partner Nazri Ahmad in defence.
Mohd Hardi Jaafar's transfer from Selangor will also be essential as the 32 year old midfielder will add some steel into the team's young midfield. Temperamental yet effective, the Perak born midfielder will be the lynchpin for the club side as he is also capable of striking set pieces with his trustworthy left foot.
Felda United will surely have a strong outing in the league but they will not be able to dethrone the likes of Kelantan, Terengganu and Selangor. Elavarasan has been an important force in the team and with his new players; he is bound to improve the standings of the team this season.
