However, to cope with the delicateness of the Super League, PKNS have acted wisely by elevating the squad ranks with players like Rudie Ramlie and Ahmad Azlan Zainal all being roped in. Coach Abdul Rahman will be eager to cement their place in the top tier league as well as his reputation as an astute tactician.

The former Malaysia national team coach comes with the traits of having induced the production of talented players like Yusri Che Lah, will be key to PKNS' stint in the Super League this season.

PKNS have also secured the signature of Guadeloupian striker Dawood Nicoise, who has previously plied his trade in the French Ligue 1. Opting for a new experience, the hitman arrives with bags of experience and will be partnering Rudie Ramli and in a solid attack upfront.

When asked whether he has any prominent players in his side, he stated that all the players are capable of rising to the occasion but he expects the likes of Rudie Ramli and Farouk Hashim to come out of their cocoons after a disappointing stint with their former clubs. Mohd Fadhil Hashim will be the skipper for this season after impressing in the Premier League last season.

With four club teams in the fray, PKNS will look to stamp their authority but the management will be looking for a respectable finish in the Super League.

However, in the years to come, PKNS will be expected to build a much stronger team and who knows, they might even emulate the likes of Selangor MPPJ and Selangor Public Bank.
