Bayern Munich coach Jupp Heynckes: Forwards will start scoring soon

The Bavarians have slipped to second in the Bundesliga after collecting just four points from a possible nine since the winter break but their veteran coach is remaining calm

Bayern Munich coach Jupp Heynckes is not unduly worried by his side's stuttering form of late, believing that it is only a matter of time before his forwards explode into life.

The Bavarians have collected just four points from their three outings since the winter break and that has allowed reigning champions Borussia Dortmund to displace them at the top of the Bundesliga.

However, Heynckes, who decided against strengthening his squad during the January transfer window, has no intention of pressing the panic button just yet.

"Dortmund have come out of the starting blocks better [after the winter break],“ he is quoted as saying by Goal.com Germany. "But I have full confidence in my team [and] my players.

“We have very good attacking players. It is a matter of time before they explode."

Bayern face Stuttgart in the DFB-Pokal on Wednesday night before returning to Bundesliga action at home to Kaiserslautern at the weekend.
