Robert Lewandowski's agent has claimed that the forward would seriously consider leaving Borussia Dortmund if a "top club" like Chelsea or Manchester United came calling.

The Poland international has been in terrific goalscoring form for the Bundesliga champions this season and while the player's representative, Cezary Kucharski, insists that the player is happy at the Westfalenstadion, he refuses to rule out the possibility of his client leaving at some point in the future.

"We are only interested in the top clubs, such as Chelsea or Manchester United," the agent told Przeglad Sportowy.

"In addition, I am working on other options in Germany, England and possibly Spain. Robert would prove himself in any team in the world."

Kucharski also refused to rule out the possibility of Lewandowski joining Dortmund's great rivals Bayern Munich.

"Borussia are seen as a good club but, in terms of popularity, they will never match Bayern," he claimed.

"It's as if one would compare Slask Wroclaw in Poland with Legia Warsaw. Slask can be leaders of the league, but most people will still always talk about Legia."

Kucharski is of the opinion that Dortmund's desire to hold on to the striker would ultimately count for little if a big offer came in for the 23-year-old, regardless of who it was from.

"It is true that Dortmund have again repeated that Robert is not for sale, but in the end it is all a question of price," he argued.

"Currently Robert is worth between €15 and €20 million. But I hope that the European Championships will be a great success [for him] ..."

Lewandowski, who has been capped 40 times by his country, joined Dortmund from Lech Poznan in 2010.
