Juan Arango pens two-year contract extension with Monchengladbach
The Venezuelan midfielder has ended speculation over his future by signing a deal that will keep him at the high-flying Bundesliga side until 2014
By Clark Whitney
The 31-year-old midfielder has played an integral role in his team's surprise success this season, and with his previous deal set to expire at season's end, his future was uncertain.
But on Friday, Gladbach revealed that Arango had agreed to sign a two-year contract extension, which will expire in 2014.
Gladbach received two hefty blows in January as stars Marco Reus and Roman Neustadter confirmed their summer departures. Dante could also leave due to a buy-out clause in his contract, however, the club at least convinced Arango to stay.
Gladbach are currently fourth in the Bundesliga table. They next face Schalke on Saturday at the Borussia-Park. Kick-off is scheduled for 18.30CET.
