Ghana league side Wassaman fire coach Herbert Addo
The league debutants are unhappy with their standing on the log and have shown the experienced trainer the exit so that they may put their house in order
By Kent Mensah
The club has won two out of 15 games under Addo’s watch, drawing three and earned only nine points, leaving the club bottom of the standings after having conceded 23 goals thus far.
“We have terminated the appointment of the coach and it was mutual,” the CEO of Wassaman, Kingsley Baidoo, was quoted on the Ghana FA website. “We believe he has lost control and it’s time for him to leave.”
Addo guided Aduana Stars to the title on their premiership debut two seasons ago, but has failed to make the same impact with Wassaman.
The experienced coach was handed the job after Wassaman gained promotion for their debut Premier League campaign.
The league is currently on a break and resumes on February 19.
