Former Ghana captain Stephen Appiah has agreed terms with Serbian top flight side Vojvodina to mark a return to the beautiful game.

Appiah was unveiled on Friday and club officials hope his experience will help them make a difference in the league.

“There is no doubt that the arrival of one of the experienced player Appiah is the biggest transfer in the history of the club,” a club statement read.

The 31-year-old ex-Ghana captain had been without a club since leaving Italian side Cesena last season.

The former Juventus midfielder retired from international football a few months after the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.
