Rodrigo Amaral, Leandro Otormin, Gaston Pereiro and Daniel Baldi, will leave Montevideo on Thursday to take up the opportunity of training with Kenny Dalglish's side. The teenagers will join in England former Bolso defender Sebastian Coates, who left the club in 2011, as well as Uruguay sharpshooter Luis Suarez, another alumnus of the team's youth set-up.
The deal was made possible by one of the clauses in Coates' transfer to Liverpool, which stipulated that the Reds would have first option on Nacional's young talents. A short statement on the Uruguayan club's website said goodbye to the teenage quartet, and wished them the best of luck across the Atlantic Ocean.
"This is what playing football is all about. Enjoy yourselves and be proud that Nacional have chosen you for this opportunity," youth coordinator Roberto Roo told the players, while sporting director Daniel Enriquez affirmed that it was a great opportunity for the young prospects.
"This is very important for us because this step has been taken thanks to the Nacional name and what the club have achieved in the last few years.
"It is fundamental for the kids to travel, to discover the world and take on this life experience. It will be unforgettable for them, and we want them to make the most of this experience."
The youngsters will take part in 10 training sessions at Liverpool, before a scheduled return to Uruguay on April 29.
