Chivas star Marco Fabian was overjoyed at his part in the Mexican outfit's resounding victory over European champions Barcelona, and stated that it was a dream come true to hit two goals against the Catalan giants.

The 22-year-old midfielder scored an outstanding double on Wednesday evening to help his side to a 4-1 thrashing in Miami, with Omar Arellano and Alberto Medina adding the other goals to mark a famous victory.

Fabian cancelled out David Villa's opener with a 30-yard stunner, before turning in an impressive volley to give Chivas the advantage and send them on their way to victory in the World Football Challenge.

Speaking after the encounter, the youngster affirmed that he could not have asked for a better game against the Spanish club.

"This was not something I could even dream about, my biggest dream was to play a decent game, enjoy myself against the great players of Barcelona and try as a team to get the victory," Fabian revealed, according to Mundo Deportivo.

"In truth, we have talked within the group about the possibility of beating Barcelona. A victory like that stays with you for a long time and it would be a great personal joy, but now it is greater than anything I could have imagined.

"[Wednesday] was a dream for me, but now it is time to keep working hard in preparation for the league."

The youngster was a key member of the Chivas squad that reached the Copa Libertadores final in 2010, and scored against Internacional during a 5-3 aggregate defeat.

He was also an original member of the Mexican Under-22 side which contested the Copa America last month, but was one of eight squad members expelled following a prostitution scandal prior to the tournament.
