We Can Only Pray That Salvador Cabanas Survives - Nelson Valdez
Borussia Dortmund attacker Nelson Valdez has reacted with shock to the news that compatriot Salvador Cabanas was shot...
By Stefan Coerts
"I talked to Oscar Cardozo and Justo Villar and from here we can only pray. We are hurt, we give full support to the family of Salvador from here," said Haedo to Primero de marzo.
"Salvador is a great friend. We have a lot of conversations about who is better and more consistent. We can only wait now and we really hope that everything will go well."
Juan Angel Napout, the president of the Paraguayan Football Association, also spoke of his hopes that Cabanas survives the brutal attack.
"We hope that his sitiation will improve. It's hard to express what we feel right now. We must remain calm and pray that Salvador survives. We are trying to contact people from the Mexican Football Federation to get more information. We know that his condition is very serious though," Napout said to 780 AM.
