Mexico's President Felipe Calderon Condemns Attack On Salvador Cabanas
The Mexican president has condemned the brutal attack on Paraguayan international Salvador Cabanas...
By Stefan Coerts
Calderon published a statement on the official website of Mexico in which he discussed the shooting, and the Mexican president made it clear that such actions are completely unacceptable. Furthermore, Mexico's president stated that he sympathises with the friends, family and colleagues of Cabanas.
Calderon also spoke with the Attorney General of the Federal District in order to express the Federal Government's readiness to assist with investigations into the case.
Meanwhile, Club America coach Jesus Ramirez has partially blamed the press for the shooting, stating that harsh criticism in the press has lead to acts of violence and that the press should think about their responsibilities before writing something.
