Manchester United striker Dimitar Berbatov has twice lost in the final of the UEFA Champions League, in 2009 against Barcelona and in 2001 with Bayer Leverkusen against Real Madrid.

The player is aiming for another final appearance this season, but this time wants to be victorious. However, he is aware the Red Devils still have many hurdles to pass, starting with Serie A giants Milan.

"I have played against every big club in the world, but I've never played against Milan. I am very excited," he revealed to UEFA.com.

"It will be a great game. Some people say they are not in the best shape, but I think that's deceiving. In the Champions League everybody is different. I know they will prepare very well for us. There are no favourites."

The former Tottenham Hotspur star also admitted his admiration for his opponents, as the San Siro was home to one of his favourite players.

"Yes, I was a fan of them, because Marco van Basten played there. I admired him very much, a great player, one of the best strikers in the world," stated the 29-year-old.

The first-leg takes place in Milan on Tuesday, February 16.
