Manchester United have today travelled to Italy for the first leg of their Champions League tie with AC Milan with a squad missing centre-back Nemanja Vidic and midfielder Anderson.

Vidic's problems with a leg injury keep him out. Jonny Evans or Wes Brown are expected to deputise.

An arm injury means Ryan Giggs is absent, whilst Rio Ferdinand is in the party as his suspension only covers domestic matches.

Full squad: Van der Sar, Foster, Kuszczak; Neville, Brown, J Evans, Ferdinand, Fabio, Rafael, Evra; Valencia, Park, Nani, Obertan, Scholes, Fletcher, Carrick, Gibson; Rooney, Berbatov, Owen, Diouf.
