Barcelona coach Pep Guardiola has declared himself happy with the result but noted that his team must improve their level of performance following their 1-1 draw away to Stuttgart in the UEFA Champions League.

The champions survived an intense first half performance from Stuttgart, who took a one goal lead into the break thanks to Cacau's header before Zlatan Ibrahimovic equalised for a much improved Blaugrana in the second half.

"We were not very good when we lost possession. [Sergio] Busquets and Xavi were a little lost. We improved after the break and the goal from Ibrahimovic calmed us but we always tried," he told a press conference.

"We cannot take anything for granted. We must fight because these teams are tough. If you're not right, the consequences can be costly. This is the last 16 of the Champions League.

"The result is good but how it was achieved was not. We clearly need to improve if we are to win titles."
