Lyon Winger Cesar Delgado: I’m Not Afraid Of Real Madrid
Argentine winger calls on team-mates to press Real…
By Rupert Fryer
"I've seen the plays and goals. There is no doubt that they have players that make a difference. But I'm not afraid at all. I have respect for them, yes, but in a football match you can't be afraid," he told Efe.
Lyon travel to Madrid with a slim single goal advantage following their 1-0 win in France last month and the former Cruz Azul man went on to say that he felt the key to achieving success was to be positive, and to press los Blancos from the start, just as they did in the first leg.
"We must not let them play,” he said. “We must press them, make sure that where there is one of them, there are three of our players forcing them to play with their backs to goal.
"They are uncomfortable like that. As we did here in France, we gave them no respite which makes them unable to play good football."
