Park Ji-Sung put in a heroic performance and scored a fine goal but it wasn't enough for Manchester United to progress in the FA Cup after a 2-1 fourth-round loss to Liverpool.

After Daniel Agger gave Liverpool the lead, the former South Korea international netted the equaliser on 39 minutes with an excellent first-time drilled finish after a well-timed near-post run.

However, Dirk Kuyt would get a late winner to dump Park's Red Devils out of another competition.

Park put in a good performance throughout showing plenty of industry, tackling well and tracking back when required. He also offered some attacking threats when opportunities arose too.

United boss Sir Alex Ferguson said after the game: "The equaliser was a great finish from Ji-Sung Park. I thought that put us in the driving seat."
