Algeria To Face Ukraine In May – Report
The Fennecs will play a friendly against Ukraine in preparation for their World Cup opener with Slovenia in June.
By Rami Ayari
According to Al Heddaf, the Algerian FA have lined up a friendly against Ukraine on May 28. No location for the encounter has been announced as of yet. The match is meant to serve as preparation for the Fennecs’ World Cup opener versus Slovenia on June 13.
Meanwhile, the North Africans already have a friendly against Serbia on March 3 in Algiers and are reportedly looking to add others against Italy, and either Scotland or Ireland in the lead-up to the World Cup.
Sources close to national team coach Rabah Saadane have also indicated that there will probably be two other application matches against first division South African clubs once the Fennecs arrives in the country on June 6.
