Gianluigi Buffon's playing career will be decided by the Italy national team because once the national calls stop coming, he will hang up his gloves.

Buffon, 32, has admitted he wants to play for as long as he can, but he will retire once he stops playing for La Nazionale.

He told weekly magazine 'A': "When they no longer call me up for la Nazionale then I will retire. I don't really want to continue playing forever."

Buffon is currently injured following a thigh problem he sustained during a training session last month, but he is expected to return in two weeks.
