Achievement: Inspired Palermo to home win against Inter
Inter are one of the strong candidates to win Serie A this season, but their confidence and morale were shaken on Sunday evening by a certain Fabrizio Miccoli.
The Palermo captain was the hero for the Sicilian side as they defeated Gian Piero Gasperini's team 4-3 at the Renzo Barbera in their opening game of the new season.
Miccoli scored Palermo's first goal three minutes into the second half and then their third on 86 minutes. He was a menace to the Inter backline throughout the match and put in a real virtuoso performance.
Palermo have lost key midfield players this summer in Javier Pastore and Antonio Nocerino, but Miccoli proved once again on Sunday that he remains a talisman for the Eagles.

The Argentine scored twice in his Serie A debut as Atalanta earned a credible 2-2 away draw with Genoa on Sunday. The summer signing thrived in the trequartista role for his team, exhibiting his qualities to the full.
Eden Hazard - Lille
The star of the weekend in Ligue 1 was Eden Hazard, as he blew away 10-man Saint Etienne with a fantastic display. The Lille striker scored twice in their 3-1 away victory, one of which was achieved by racing past four defenders and slotting the ball beyond Stephane Ruffier.
Leandro Damiao - Internacional
The Brazil international striker continued his hot streak of form and scored a hat-trick for Internacional to grant them a 3-0 away win against Palmeiras.
David Silva - Manchester City
The Spain international attacker was Man City's best player against Wigan Athletic in their 3-0 win at the Etihad Stadium in the Premier League on Saturday. Silva was all over the visitors' backline, won a penalty that Carlos Tevez failed to convert, set up Sergio Aguero's first goal and played important roles in the remainder of his side's goals.
Sergio Aguero - Manchester City
The Argentina international striker continued to impress in his debut season in the Premier League as he scored a hat-trick against Wigan Athletic in their 3-0 home victory on Saturday afternoon. Aguero was a threat to the Wigan defence throughout and is showing the class and quality that he has in abundance.
Wayne Rooney - Manchester United
Wayne Rooney extended his great run of form in the early stages of the season as he scored three goals against Bolton Wanderers in their comfortable 5-0 win at the Reebok Stadium in the Premier League on Saturday evening. It was the England international's second hat-trick in as many games, which he combined with a typical hard working display.
Mario Gomez - Bayern Munich
The German international striker took five shots and scored four goals against Freiburg in Bayern Munich's 7-0 win at home in the Bundesliga on Saturday. He also provided an assist in that match. A month into the season, Gomez has already bagged 10 goals in all competitions.
