Atletico Madrid players Tomas Ujfalusi and Simao Sabrosa have declared themselves happy with their 2-1 win over Barcelona at the Vicente Calderon.

Simao scored Atleti's second goal with a 25-yard free kick to ensure the Blaugrana suffered their first defeat of the season and afterwards he praised the team's performance.

"We played against the best team in the world, but we were well placed, we knew what we had to do tactically. The game was perfect. We are happy for this great result. In the league the three points allows us to breathe a little more and keep adding little by little. I always want to win for the club and for us," he is quoted as saying by AS.

Czech defender Ujfalusi said it was Atletico's best performance of the season and an important victory for Los Colchoneros.

"I think it was the best display from Atletico this season because we beat Barcelona without creating many chances," he noted before adding that the whole team defended as a unit.

"This is very important to win this game against the best team in the world. In defence we have been very good, but not only us but the entire team has really helped us."
