Thursday's Europa League: Chris Wood, Jermain Defoe and Roland Linz to be on target
Ed Malyon tipped an 8/1 goal scorer in Europe last week and he has another three selections ready for Thursday's action
By Ed Malyon
Tip: Chris Wood to score anytime at 2.1 (11/10)
The Blues know that the only way that they can qualify for the next stage of the Europa League is with a win at home to Maribor and they will be going all out to secure it - whilst hoping Club Brugge are defeated against Braga. Chris Wood has been their leading light up front since arriving on loan from West Bromwich Albion, and the New Zealand striker, already with a hat-trick in the competition, is 2.1 to score anytime, and 7.00 to bag at least a brace.
Shamrock Rovers vs Tottenham
Tip: Jermain Defoe to score two or more at 5.0 (4/1)
With Spurs having to pray for some help from PAOK Salonika, they will also have to get a victory in Dublin, something they're expected to do comfortably. While it is expected that Emmanuel Adebayor and Rafael Van der Vaart will be rested due to a niggling injuries, this may give an opportunity to Jermain Defoe to bag some goals. He should start up front and with places available in Fabio Capello's England squad this summer, he should be eager to impress. He is 4/1 to score two or more goals which seems a fair price.
Austria Vienna vs Malmo
Tip: Roland Linz to score first at 4.0 (3/1)
The hosts need a win, and in midfielder Nacer Barazite they have a set-piece wizard, having scored eight goals in 17 games this season. The man for this occasion however, is Roland Linz, the experienced forward has notched up one goal fewer but his knack for being in the right place at the right time cannot be underestimated and at 4.00 to open the scoring, he's the best opportunity available to us.
