Peterborough
managed a 1-1 draw with Burnley last time out but the result did little to stop the rot. With seven games without a win, this weekend's clash against the table topping Hammers looks less than appetising. West Ham battled well with 10 men to see off rivals Millwall and they should claim another win against the Posh to keep up their promotion charge.

Coventry continue to struggle in this division and throwing away a lead against Ipswich to lose 3-2 will have done nothing for morale. Reading on the other hand have won four out of their last five at home in the league and without conceding. Another victory looks likely here.

Portsmouth may be 10 points clear of the bottom three but their recent results have been worrying, losing four out of five and scoring only twice. Blackpool are on a high after a cup win and are just two points off the automatic promotion spots. A home win looks on the cards at Bloomfield Road.

Exeter have lost their last two games and are hovering just above the bottom two. They face a tough test against a Sheffield Wednesday side in good form. A cup loss to Blackpool will do little to dent the confidence of the Owls and they remain in second position. The quality should shine through for the visitors.

Sheffield United’s home form is solid, winning four out of their last five at Bramall Lane. This has been the cornerstone of their promotion charge and they face a Wycombe side who do not travel well. They have lost four out of their last five on the road and the Blades should add to that tally on Saturday.

Chesterfield’s run since their change of manager has been impressive but they face a Charlton side who look a cut above the rest of the division in terms of quality. Chris Powell’s men have won four of their last five in the league and only conceded one goal.

Crawley notched another impressive win over top of the league Cheltenham Town in midweek to leapfrog them to the summit of League Two. Despite selling Matt Tubbs they still have plenty of firepower and with Aldershot’s form proving inconsistent the hosts should have too much for them.

Hereford sit dangerously just above the drop zone and have struggled for results, losing four out of their last five games. Cheltenham are impressive on the road and although the loss to Crawley will be disappointing they have won seven out of their last nine on the road and should make that eight here.

Bristol Rovers have picked up brilliantly since Mark McGhee took over, three wins and a draw against Crawley mean they can go above Morecambe with a win. The visitors have been tumbling down the league winning only one of their last five and look in trouble against one of the division’s form sides.
