As the season comes to a close and teams are scrambling for glory, position, safety and pride, having someone who is finding the net regularly can make all the difference.

Everton look set to finish above local rivals Liverpool and a big factor for their current form has been the goalscoring touch of January signing Nikica Jelavic. Since signing from Rangers the Croat has scored six goals in nine league games.

Three of which have come in the last two games. At home to Fulham this weekend he’s the 9/2 (5.50) favourite to score the opening goal and the 7/5 (2.40) on him to score anytime looks particularly appealing.

Fulham have some in-form front-men of their own in Clint Dempsey and on-loan Pavel Pogrebnyak. Dempsey has bagged 22 goals in all-competitions this season, 16 of which have come in the Premier League.

With four goals in his last four games and six in his last eight he’s ending the season in fine fettle. The American is 15/2 (8.50) to score first and 13/5 (3.60) anytime. Pogrebnyak can be backed at the same odds. The Russian scored in Fulham’s last game and has six goals in the eight Premier League games he’s played.

When talking of strikers being in-form there’s simply no ignoring Newcastle’s Papiss Cisse. He has 11 goals in 10 Premier League games and has hit the net in each of Newcastle’s last six games.

He’s 4/1 (5.0) to score first away to Wigan this weekend and even money (2.0) to score anytime. If the Magpies are playing Champions League football next season, Cisse’s goals will take a significant amount of the credit.

Manchester City’s Argentine front pairing of Sergio Aguero and Carlos Tevez have fired the Citizens back in to title contention. Tevez has four goals in City’s last three games whilst Aguero an even more impressive five goals in three games. Both men can be backed at 6/1 (7.0) to score first and 9/5 (2.80) to score anytime in Monday’s massive Manchester derby.

Wayne Rooney will be looking to trump the pair in that game. The England man has four goals in Manchester United’s last two goals to bring his Premier league total to 26.

Despite being away from home Rooney is the favourite to open the scoring in this game at 4/1 (5.0). He can be backed to score anytime at evens (2.0) with Paddy Power.

There is certainly value in backing some of the Premier League's most in-form strikers this weekend, with Papiss Cisse at Evens and Carlos Tevez at 9/5 both worthy on investment.

Tip: Papiss Cisse to score anytime at Evens (2.0) with Paddy Power

Tip: Carlos Tevez to score anytime at 9/5 (2.80) with Paddy Power
