Ok, so it's happened again.

In a week in which we had Chris Maguire's ridiculous goal from the halfway line and Matteo Legittimo's fantastic lob for Salernitana in Italy, YOU decided to vote en masse for a fine thunderbolt by Zaglebie Lubin's Mateusz Bartczak.

A total of 9897 votes were cast, with the top three being as follows.

In third place, with just 396 votes was Javier Pastore's superb bullet for Palermo against Bologna from Serie A. Next, in the runner-up spot with 474 votes, was Manchester City's David Silva, who weaved his way past two Blackpool defenders before curling a beauty into the far post last Sunday.

Blowing everyone else out of the water though was
Mateusz Bartczak, with Poles across the planet backing their man with a whopping 8352 votes. This wasn't so much of a fight into first place as a massacre.

The full list and run down of results can be seen in this article.

Sticking to our tried and trusted formula, we not only use our Friday results post to tell you what happened but also we like to give you all a taster of next week's competition which will be published on Monday.

Likely to take his place in our upcoming top 10 list will be everyone's favourite pocket-sized Argentine, Leo Messi. The Barcelona world player of year was the star of the show for the Catalans in the Champions League against Copenhagen, opening with this pearler to add to the scrapbook.
