South Korean teenager Son Heung-Min made a dramatic 20-minute cameo off the bench in Hamburg's 1-1 draw with Bayern Munich in Germany's Bundesliga on Saturday, going close to a late winner.

The young forward came off the bench on 71 minutes with his side leading 1-0, but his first taste of the action was to defend a Bayern corner. Thomas Muller's corner went straight for Son, who failed to clear the danger with a header, before the ball was scrambled to Ivica Olic for the equaliser.

However, five minutes later the Korean could have been the hero when he rounded Bayern keeper Manuel Neuer only for his angled effort to hit the side netting after Ivo Ilicevic's well-weighted pass.

Elsewhere in Germany's Bundesliga, Koo Ja-Cheol made his debut for new club Augsburg in their 2-2 draw away to Hoffenheim.

Koo, who joined relegation battlers Augsburg on loan from Wolfsburg this week, was a 61st-minute substitute in the draw.
