Jon Dahl Tomasson Still Confident That Feyenoord Are As Good As PSV

Eredivisie giants Feyenoord were beaten 3-1 by PSV on Sunday afternoon and coach Mario Been stated after the match that the Rotterdam side are simply not good enough yet to trouble the Eindhoven outfit. Danish attacker Jon Dahl Tomasson does not agree with his coach's opinion though.

"People say that PSV are too good for us at the moment, but I disagree. We did not lose the game against PSV because they were too good, but because of our own failure," said Tomasson to Algemeen Dagblad.

"We gave away the goals way too easily. You can simply not afford to play like that in a big game. We showed some sloppy play at the back and made some serious errors. That is why PSV picked up a quick 2-0 lead.

"We played very poorly before the break. We improved a bit after the interval, but we were still not good enough. We were desperate to prove our worth, but failed in doing so. That's a bit of a blow for us.

"However, we have nothing to worry about. We still made a good start to the season. We have to take a good look at what went wrong and learn from our mistakes."
