Georginio Wijnaldum will likely miss PSV's clash with Heracles this weekend after the midfielder picked up an injury.

The attacking midfielder was substituted in the second-half of his side’s KNVB Beker win over NEC on Thursday night after a collision with Bram Nuytinck left him bleeding from his head.

The 21-year-old had the wound checked at hospital and the club’s official website has revealed that Wijnaldum will unlikely feature for PSV against Heracles on Sunday.

The Netherlands international joined PSV from Eredivisie rivals Feyenoord last summer and has played 19 league games for the Eindhoven giants, scoring seven goals.
