Ridvan Dilmen claims Uefa & TFF held secret talks
The ex-Turkey international believes that Fenerbahce will be able to compete in Europe even if they are found guilty of match-fixing
By Enis Koylu
Fenerbahce were kicked out of the Champions League due to an ongoing investigation into match-fixing allegations in August.
Dilmen has stated that former TFF president Mehmet Ali Aydinlar held secret conferences with Uefa to ensure it did not happen again.
"Aydinlar called me and said he's talked with Uefa and Fenerbahce, so they would be cleared to play in Europe next year," Dilmen said on the TV programme %100 Futbol.
"However, the club would have to be punished with a points deduction in domestic competition if found guilty in the match-fixing case."
Dilmen went on to say that both parties would likely deny that any talks had taken place.
"Both he [Aydinlar] and Uefa would deny it if any talks were made public."
Uefa has already announced that punishments for match-fixers would remain within the jurisdiction of the TFF.
The Trial for the match-fixing scandal begin on February 14.
