Flamengo's Ronaldinho could boycott Copa Libertadores opener over unpaid wages
The former Barcelona and AC Milan ace is allegedly owed five months' salary and his brother has revealed that he could sit out the upcoming meeting with Real Potosi

Ronaldinho's brother has revealed that the Flamengo ace is willing to boycott his club's Copa Libertadores opener because of an ongoing dispute over unpaid wages.
The former Barcelona and AC Milan forward is allegedly owed five months' salary and his sibling, Roberto de Assis, who also acts as his agent, has revealed that he could sit out the upcoming clash with Real Potosi in protest and perhaps even quit the club.
"I want an agreement as soon as possible, so he can play the Libertadores,” he is quoted as saying by Extra. “But I don't know what will happen.
“This cannot continue, no more dragging out the story and letting the transfer window slam shut. There are always offers for my brother."
It was claimed last month by Flamengo vice-president of finance Michel Levy that a compromise package had been agreed with Traffic, the company which pays a percentage of Ronaldinho’s wages.
However, de Assis insists that there is no resolution in sight.
"They [Flamengo and Traffic] need to come to an agreement,” he declared. “But it appears that it is difficult.
“Five months have gone by and still nothing. I was in favour of the joint agreement, they know that."
Ronaldinho has previously been linked with a move to Greece but, according to a report on Calciomercato.com, the gifted 31-year-old has received offers from a club in Italy, one in Spain and another in his native Brazil.
