Internacional's Oscar has declared that he will contest a court ruling that he must return to former club Sao Paulo.

The Brazil international rescinded his contract with Sao Paulo in 2010 because of a dispute over unpaid wages before joining Internacional on a free transfer.

However, his former employers took the player to court over the manner of his departure and, on Wednesday, the Labour Court of Sao Paulo ruled in favour of the Morumbi outfit and ordered the 20-year-old to return to the club where he made his name.

Oscar, though, is determined to now take his case to the Higher Labour Court in Brasilia

"It is clear that I am entitled by the laws of my country to work wherever I like and I want to stay at International," the attacking midfielder said in a statement released on Thursday.

"Here, I was very well received by all of the board, the players, coaches, and fans. In fact, I want to thank the fans they are sending me messages of support.

"The Colorado fans can rest assured that I will give my life for the club and I will fight for my rights."

Oscar, who has been capped twice by his country, progressed through the youth team ranks at Sao Paulo before his relationship with the club broke down.
