Racing Club-bound Paraguayan striker Federico Santander has drawn a unique comparison between himself and AC Milan star Zlatan Ibrahimovic, declaring that he is a similar player both on the field and in appearance.

The 20-year-old Guarani man spent 12 months on loan in France with Toulouse in 2010-11, and expects to complete a €1.2 million move to the Argentine club in time for the start of the Clausura. The transfer was originally scheduled for June, but La Academia hope to send Chilean Gonzalo Espinoza on loan to Arsenal de Sarandi, thereby opening one of the four spots for foreign players for Santander.

Speaking to Ole as the final details are ironed out on the deal, Federico affirmed that the Sweden star was the player with whom the closest comparison could be made.

"My role model on the field has always been Ibrahimovic. I look like him ... we have the same nose, the same physique, the same posture," the youngster affirmed in a light-hearted chat published on Monday.

"But he is a little better technically than me! I play in the air more, and he likes it on the floor."

Santander was on form in what could have been his last game for Guarani, scoring twice as his team downed Independiente CG 3-1 in the opening round of the Apertura.
