To succeed Jose Mourinho is difficult for any coach, admits Inter CEO Ernesto Paolillo
The chief executive of the Nerazzurri reinstated his faith in current coach Claudio Ranieri and believes he has the ability help rebuild the club all over again

Since the departure of Jose Mourinho to Real Madrid at the end of the 2009-10 season, in which Inter created history by becoming the first Italian club to win the treble, the Nerazzurri have had four coaches at the helm, with Claudio Ranieri being the latest occupy the hot-seat.
The likes of Rafa Benitez, Leonardo and Gian Piero Gasperini failed miserably to get the club even close to the heights they reached under the ‘Special One’.
However, Inter CEO Ernesto Paolillo was in agreement over the fact that it isn’t an easy task for any coach to take over the reins from such an accomplished predecessor.
“I tell you, to come after Mourinho is difficult for any coach. Because Mourinho, first of all, is a great, great coach," the 65-year-old told Goal.com.
“Besides that, he obtained everything because he won everything. So to come after that is very difficult because these coaches came at the end of the cycle,” he added.
Paolillo believes that Ranieri, who was appointed back in September this year, is the right man to take the club forward.
“Ranieri, now, is performing very, very well and I think he is the right coach to start a new cycle.”
