A spokesman from the agency that represents Ajax defender Jan Vertonghen, has made it clear that there has not been any contact with Bayern Munich about a transfer at the end of the season.
The Bavarians are looking to add some fresh blood to their defence in the summer transfer window, and Vertonghen is believed to be one of the Bavarians' primary transfer targets.
However, a summer move is still far away as Bayern have yet to get in touch with the Belgium international's representative.
"They [Bayern] have not contacted us. It's not the first time that I hear something about this, but I can't do much with it at this point," the spokesman said to Goal.com.
"The English and German press have written stories like this before. Things will only get serious when a club approach Ajax though, and that has not happened yet as far as I know.
"However, I can reveal that there is plenty of interest from abroad."
The 24-year-old has a contract with Ajax until the summer of 2013, and he recently admitted that he is unlikely to sign a new deal. Therefore, the Eredivisie champions are expected to cash in on the centre-back this summer.
