Bayern Munich coach Jupp Heynckes has decided to keep Arjen Robben on the bench ahead of Saturday's Bundesliga clash against Kaiserslautern at the Allianz Arena.

Robben has struggled for form and fitness of late and was an unused substitute in Wednesday's DFB-Pokal quarter-final win over Stuttgart.

In his stead Toni Kroos will occupy the central role just behind Mario Gomez with Thomas Muller pushed out onto the wing.

Bastian Schweinsteiger is also absent due to an ankle injury that will likely keep him out of the starting line-up for at least another month. David Alaba fills in for the Germany international in a deep-lying midfield role.

Bayern Munich: Neuer; Rafinha, Boateng, Badstuber, Lahm; Luiz Gustavo, Alaba; Muller, Kroos, Ribery; Gomez.

Subs
: Butt, Pranjic, Robben, Tymoshchuk, Usami, Petersen, Olic.

Kaiserslautern: Trapp; Dick, Yahia, Abel, Jessen; Sukuta-Pasu, Sahan, Petsos, Tiffert, Fortounis; Wagner.

Subs
: Sippel, Orban, Kirch, Schechter, Zellner, Derstroff, Swierczok.
