A-League club Adelaide United claimed they are ready to provide a counterwork to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) which has issued an interim decision regarding the chaotic status of Indonesian side Persipura Jayapura in the 2012 Asian Champions League (ACL).

Persipura this week had an appeal to the CAS accepted with regard to their non-participation in the 2012 ACL following the Indonesian Football Association's (PSSI) failure to lodge the proper paperwork.

The Indonesian Super League champions have been at odds with the PSSI for opting to compete in a breakaway competition this season.

Persipura were due to face Adelaide in the 2012 ACL play-offs but the Reds received direct entry into the main draw after the PSSI's failure to complete the champion club's entry requirements. However, following the CAS's decision, the play-off match could happen.

The legal representative of Adelaide United stated that the club will file a lawsuit to the CAS decision on Persipura's case.

"Adelaide United will make a legal submission to the CAS to reject the appeal of Persipura," Reds chairman Greg Griffin told reporters.

Griffin added: "The ACL match status is not yet clear until our evidence has been granted by CAS, and it was supported by Football Association of Indonesia (PSSI) and AFC.

"To date, there has been no final decision, and we will process it contra the CAS decision. I hope the decision would be made by Wednesday."
