Bloemfontein Celtic coach Clinton Larsen is standing behind Clifford Mulenga, after the midfielder was sent home from the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations by Zambia.

Mulenga was fired from the Chipolopolo camp after allegedly partying the night away and breaking the team curfew, along with other two unidentified players.

The players was back in Bloemfontein on Sunday, and Larsen confirmed the fact, saying that he will engage the player in a meeting on Monday after Celtic training to get his side of the story.

"Clifford is back and should start training with the team tomorrow," Larsen told KickOff.com.

"I still have to meet him and find out what transpired during the Afcon tournament.

"I must say Cliff has never given me any problems since I started coaching him at Celtic. He has never come late or missed training. He has always shown a great attitude and commitment at Celtic, so I was surprised about all the negative things said about him.

"As I said before. I will meet him tomorrow and find out what really happened with the Zambian national team."

Zambia are through to the Afcon semi-finals after beating Sudan 3-0 on Saturday.
