According to Le Matin, Tunisian club side Etoile Sportive du Sahel are looking to swap their Malian international midfielder, Yacouba Diarra, for Al Ahly’s want-away playmaker Amir Sayoud.

The Algerian player is looking to secure a move away from the Egyptian giants due to multiple death threats against him in the wake of the Fennecs’ World Cup qualification at the expense of the Pharaohs.

Sayoud has claimed a preference for a European destination rather than playing in another Arab championship, but so far no transfer has materialized despite apparent interest from some clubs on the continent.

Etoile are well aware of the situation and are looking to sign the player in exchange for one that Al-Ahly were tracking after his performances during the African Championship of Nations (CHAN) competition.
