Bosnia and Herzegovina will now play west African nation Ghana in an international friendly on March 3.

The Ghana Football Association confirmed on their official website that the 2010 World Cup warm-up match will take place in Sarajevo.

Initially the Africa Cup of Nations runners-up were scheduled to play South American World Cup finalists Paraguay on that same date but Goal.com’s checks at the Ghana FA did not uncover any reason behind the twist.

Officials say the international friendly will give Milovan Rajevac's players a chance to face a team with a similar style to Serbia – Ghana’s World Cup group contenders.

Dreaded striker Edin Dzeko of Wolfsburg should be available to test Ghana's backline ahead of the finals.

Ghana and Serbia were drawn in Group D at the 2010 World Cup in South Africa along with Australia and Germany.

It will be the first meeting with the eastern European nation since their breakaway from the Yugoslavia following the wars of the 1990s.
