The midfielder was suspended indefinitely from his club due to the case…
Liberia international Dulee Johnson is now a free man and can now celebrate Christmas with his family after being cleared of a rape charge by a Swedish court on Monday. The suspended AIK midfielder had denied the charge ever since he was incarcerated in October.
"He is now resting with his nearest and dearest and will decide how he will go further," Aftonbladet quoted his lawyer Michael Linden.
The player had been alleged by a 22-year-old to have forced her for sex at his Solna-base early this year but the Stockholm district court said the case had been dismissed.
Johnson has played in five World Cup qualifiers for Liberia and made his debut for AIK in 2006 and returned to the Stockholm club last year after a spell at Israeli-based Maccabi Tel Aviv. He has played 20 times this season.
