Arsene Wenger Tells Arsenal Players Pressure Is On Chelsea For Stamford Bridge Clash
Don't get intimidated, Frenchman warns squad...
By James Daly
Arsenal need a result against the Blues to maintain their Premier League title challenge.
But Wenger has swatted away reports of pressure inside the Gunners camp, and told his players to relax.
"I believe we should be more relaxed at this time because at the start of the season nobody expected us in the top four or in the title race," he told his club's official website.
"Now, instead of being intimidated, I believe we have to really have a go because we are entitled to have it.
"The biggest regret I have from Sunday [the 3-1 defeat by Manchester United] is that we gave them too much freedom and allowed them too much to play in a game where we should have been dictating.
"My players wanted it so much that sometimes you can be a little bit restricted and our target is to get that freedom to play in this game [against Chelsea]."
The Gunners were written off as title contenders after a 3-0 reversal at home to Chelsea in November, but battled back to win top spot last briefly last month.
