Fernando Torres To Become 'The Face Of Liverpool' - Report
Fernando Torres will be given the opportunity to become "the face of Liverpool" in a move that would ensure the Spaniard stays at Merseyside, the News of the World has reported.
The former Atletico de Madrid forward signed a contract believed to be in the region of £100,000-a-week last summer, but it is said that his earnings are set to be given an injection following the 2010 World Cup.
It is consequently claimed that 'El Nino' will bag the most lucrative player specific commercial deal in the history of the club.
For his part, Torres has for long maintained that his allegiance lies with the Anfield loyalists, but the club could be bracing themselves for mega-bids from Manchester City or Barcelona this summer.
