Malouda to see out Chelsea contract before assessing future

The 31-year-old believes that his career in west London may be over, despite having a year left on his current deal, but has admitted that a move to South America interests him

Chelsea winger Florent Malouda has admitted that he is likely to leave Stamford Bridge when his contract expires at the end of next season.

The Frenchman has recently been linked to a move back to his homeland with PSG but is unsure if he is ready to return to France, claiming that Brazil could be a surprise destination for him instead.

"I have one more year, I think, to go at the end of my contract, so I can decide my future without the club setting conditions," Malouda told RMC.

"Just look at it, even Nico [Anelka] went at the end of his contract. When I see what I saw in that moment, it's still positive. I came to play games like that.

"To sign with PSG? I have talked to Ancelotti, but I don't know if it's possible.

"I don't envisage a return to France. I would like to discover another country, notably Brazil."

Although he doesn't see a future for himself under the current setup at Chelsea, he was delighted to see them progress to the Champions League final against Barcelona, hailing the performance of the side and their ability to keep Lionel Messi quiet.

"It was not an easy task," he explained. "Despite what is said about them, they are still at the top of their game.

"We played them as we did as three years ago, trying to minimise their space. It requires focus and to be well developed physically. It's a nice contrast compared to 2009.

"It's strange. There is no rational explanation. He took a penalty, his shot hit the post.

"He is always dangerous even if there is no anti-Messi system, each person who is in his area is careful not to be beaten."

Despite his domestic future being uncertain, the 31-year-old is determined to represent his country at Euro 2012, dispelling rumours that he is not committed to the French national side.

"I have always shown my commitment and my commitment to the France team, despite the debates that I've always known during my international career," he insisted.

"I would be disappointed not to go. I've prepared myself, I participated in qualification. Laurent alone has the answers. I do not live with the fear I will not go. I am ready."
