Redknapp eyes 'bold' summer signings at Tottenham

Spurs manager admits to feeling the "strain" of a busy season both on and off the pitch but is hoping to secure the club's top-four future at the end of the Premier League term
Harry Redknapp has called for Tottenham to be "bold" in this summer's transfer market in order to challenge for the Premier League top four again next season.Spurs could secure fourth place and qualification for next season's Champions League on Sunday with victory over Fulham - though it could become irrelevant if Chelsea win this year's competition in two weeks' time.
And Redknapp admitted that he is quite ready for the Premier League to resolve itself and the season to end.
"I'll be glad when next week is over. It's been a long old season. I just want to get in the Champions League and have a break and get away for a few days," he told BBC Radio 5 Live.
"We're a good side. If we're bold in the summer, we can build a team again that can be right there again next year."
The 65-year-old's troops wouold not be guarenteed Champions League group-stage football unless they can leapfrog Arsenal into third place, but both north London clubs' recent slip-ups against the likes of QPR and Norwich City have left the door open for a host of teams.

The Spurs boss has had a draining year, with the twists and turns of the Premier League alongside a heart operation, a court case for tax evasion and months of speculation before being overlooked for the England job in favour of Roy Hodgson.
And he conceded: "It definitely takes a strain on you. It has been a hard year for me personally.
"What I went through with the court case was the most difficult thing I've ever faced in my life.
"I do tend to get on with things but there's no doubt it has an effect. [Hodgson's appointment] never really bothered me. When I heard that Roy had got the job on Sunday night, I went out."
