Jean-Michel Aulas, chairman of Lyon
Olympique Lyonnais president Jean-Michel Aulas has stated that Olympique Marseille are favourites for the Ligue 1 clash of the heavyweights at the Stade Velodrome on Sunday.

In a battle between France's two remaining Champions League representatives, both teams need three points as they sit in fourth and fifth place in the league, respectively.

Despite the visitors being a point ahead of Marseille in the table, Aulas has Didier Deschamps' men as frontrunners for the game.

"It's a good test against a good Marseille team," the executive told RMC Sport.

"This is a match more important for OM than for Lyon because they play at home and in a context where Lyon won the reverse fixture [2-0 in September].

"Marseille are heavily favoured, but this game can only encourage us to dream and hope," he concluded.

Both sides will have European ties against APOEL and Inter in the back of their mind, but the winner could move up to third in Ligue 1 should Lille be beaten away to Sochaux.
