Olympique Lyonnais coach Remi Garde has lamented his side's inability to beat Olympique de Marseille on Sunday, despite the visitors recovering from a two-goal deficit to draw 2-2.
Benoit Cheyrou and Brandao had given Didier Deschamps' men a comfortable advantage early on, as the hosts looked to overtake their opponents in the Ligue 1 standings.
However, a Bafetimbi Gomis strike brought the away side back into the match, before Souleymane Diawara's own goal ensured parity at the break, but neither side was able to produce a winner in the second period.
Garde believes that his side had chances to win the match, and feels that a draw is far from an ideal result.
"It's a good draw for us but it still leaves us a bit dissatisfied. We had chances to take the lead," the 45-year-old said according to Ligue1.com.
"But we mustn't forget that we were two goals down and needed to press our luck to get back into the running, which was a pretty strong effort considering that we were in Marseille.
"Paris [Saint-Germain] and Montpellier both won and widened the gap a bit and really tonight's result does little for Lyon or Marseille.
"We'll do our best not to try to pay too much attention to the others and focus on our own game," the trainer concluded.
Lyon trail third-placed Lille on goal difference in the race for a Champions League place, whilst Marseille are a point behind the duo in fifth.
